Are the products exact matches?
Not always, and MakeMe never claims they are. When the video names a product, that product is marked as seen in it. Otherwise MakeMe reads the finish, the depth and the colour off the face and names what matches, with a line on what to look for if that one has sold out. Check the shade against your own skin before you buy.
How long does it take for results?
About a minute is normal. You can leave the app while it runs; MakeMe sends one notification when the breakdown is ready. If it fails, a private post, a link the app cannot reach, or a video with no clear view of the face are the usual causes. Try a screenshot of the clearest frame instead.
What happens to my photos?
MakeMe asks for your AI sharing permission first. Then it sends the photo, or a few still frames from a video, to its AI provider to make your breakdown. MakeMe keeps a finished look until you delete it and sets temporary copies of a video to clear after 24 hours. The AI provider keeps its own copy for up to 30 days under its standard policy. The optional shade selfie is measured on your phone and never leaves it. MakeMe doesn’t use face data to identify anyone or to train AI models, and it doesn’t sell face data or use it for advertising. The privacy policy has the full detail.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. MakeMe is built for iPhone and needs iOS 26.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then MakeMe, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial ends and you won’t be charged. Cancelling stops the next charge; the app stays open until the period you already paid for ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
